Geometrica is proud to announce its compliance certification for ISO 3834-2 “Quality Requirements for Fusion Welding of Metallic Materials – Part 2: Comprehensive Quality Requirements” by TWI Certification Ltd of Cambridge, UK. Geometrica's welding management system meets or exceeds the requirements set out by European Welding Federation and the International Institute of Welding. It provides an authoritative third party reference of commercial value for clients, and demonstrates an additional tier of welding excellence as a supplement to Geometrica's ISO 9001:2008 standards.
The company's co-founder and vice president Roel Castaño is a certified welding inspector (CWI) and member of the American Welding Society (AWS). Structural designer Canek Rubio and Production Manager José Luis Urbina are also AWS CWIs. Plant manager Rogelio Contreras is Certified Associate Welding Inspector and specialist in nondestructive examination methods VT, PT and UT. Quality Chief Mara Faz and Senior Engineer Amaro Reza are CAWI certified.
As a registered fabricator, Geometrica has implemented stringent procedures which confirm, through independent assessment, that it maintains welding competence, capabilities and compliance standards on an ongoing basis. Mechanical inspectors, fabrication inspectors and quality engineers support the company's overall quality management system and assurance planning.
“Geometrica places great emphasis on the highest quality welding and fabrication, which is demonstrated through this newly-earned international credential," says Geometrica's CEO Francisco Castaño. "Not only do we operate through the exacting criteria required by applicable authorities, but we consistently strive to please our clients by defining quality requirements for welding both in house or in the field, and delivering welded products of the highest caliber."
The company's ongoing emphasis on health, safety and environment segues with the “Special Processes” inherent in ISO 3834-2 welding criteria. Scope of production and specification includes receipt of the initial customer inquiry, quote, design, machining, installation, commissioning and ongoing support of equipment supplied. In instances when the manufacture and maintenance of a product cannot be verified by final inspection, the ISO 3834-2 certification ensures special competence before, during and after the operation to fulfill quality requirements.
Whether prefabricating bulk storage buildings for mines, cement plants or fertilizer storage, or designing architectural feats such as museums, libraries or aviaries, Geometrica consistently surpasses expectations. The question is, "What can Geometrica do for you?"
