Dr. Douglas Wright
Dr. Wright developed the theories for the construction of space
frame structures in the 1960s and has pioneered the application
of those theories to groundbreaking structures worldwide.
Until his recent retirement, Dr. Wright served for a decade as
president of the University of Waterloo in Canada - an institution
internationally recognized for its efforts in researching space
frame structure theory.
Among other honors, Dr. Wright was awarded the Gold Medal of
the Canadian Council of Professional Engineers. In 1991 he was
appointed an Officer in the Order of Canada.
