Geometrica was awarded the 1997 National Steel Award in the category: Industrial Use of Steel for the structural design and construction of multiple manufacturing facilities for Nemak. Approximately 150 km of galvanized tubing and 30 thousand connectors were used in the construction of each dome. With spans of 224m column-free in their major axis make them the longest industrial domes in the world.
